Judy was born in Rapid City, SD, graduated from high school in Longmont, CO and earned a degree in Music Education from Colorado State College in Greeley. She met the love of her life, Robert Elliott, while in high school, but started dating later after working together at JC Penney. They married the night before Thanksgiving in 1964. After staying home to raise her children, Judy returned to education as an administrator with Valley Christian Schools - first as a junior high vice principal, later as an elementary school principal and junior high principal.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Bob; devoted children Keith Elliott (Samantha) of San Jose and Tammy Emerson (David) of San Jose, and her grandchildren Jenica Emerson, Rachel Elliott, Andrew Emerson, Luke Elliott and Nicholas Emerson. She is also survived by her mother, Esther Storm of San Jose and brother Marvin Storm (JoAnn) of Westminster, CO.
Judy showered her family, friends and students with love and wisdom. She always could tell what someone needed to hear, what needed to be done or who needed encouragement.
A celebration of life will be held on August 25 at Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos.
