Funeral services for Geraldine S. Foster will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in the chapel of Kramer of Colfax with Rev. Bob Boyt officiating. Interment will follow in Summerfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Geraldine S. Foster, 71, of Colfax, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at her residence.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Tommy Foster, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Landon Ray Catteruccia Garner and Taylor James Catteruccia Garner; her parents, Oscar Dewey and Alice Myrtle Slayton Sr.; and her siblings, O. D. Slayton, Larry Slayton, Clarence Slayton, Donnie Slayton, Christine Sanders, and JoAnn Abernathy.
Ms. Geraldine was a homemaker who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She loved cooking, fishing, and reading. Ms. Geraldine enjoyed quilting, she made one for each of her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dawna Johnson (Carroll), Tina Catteruccia (Darrin), Pamela Foster, and James Foster, Jr.; her grandchildren, Lance Walker, Brandie Arnett, Nathan Walker, Krin Thompson (Andrew), Rebecca Coldiron, and Xailah Ann Foster McCarty; and her great – grandchildren, Darrin Kye Thompson, Kennedy Rose Thompson, Eli James Arnett, and Bradley Michael Arnett.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Nathan Walker, Lance Walker, Pete Williams, Willie Allen Slayton, Marcus Slayton and Justin Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Johnson, and Darrin Catteruccia.
