Gene Horace Hopkins, age 77, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, August 17, 2018. He was born June 21, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of John Hopkins and Merlin Thompson Hopkins. He was the widower of Debby Downs Hopkins. Gene was retired from the Navy. He loved fishing, hunting, listening to all music especially the Beatles, was an avid reader, and a chef at heart.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Billy) Downing of Sandpoint, Idaho and Kristy Hopkins (Aaron Walker) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; and brother, Jack (Marlene) Hopkins of Cincinnati, Ohio.
