Tammy Christina Harmon, 53, of Pleasant Hill, passed away on Sept. 23, 2013, at Kansas University Medical Center. She was born December 29 1959, the daughter of Alma Beesack Norris and Otto Cox, who preceded Tammy in death.
Tammy grew up in Independence, graduating from Truman High School in 1977. After high school, she became a wife and full-time mother after moving to Brunswick. Tammy lived there for many years, raising her children.
In 1999, Tammy married Roger Harmon and moved to the home he built in the Sugarland Subdivision of Pleasant Hill. They lived there the rest of their marriage and mostly remained a stay-at-home mother and wife.
Tammy loved being a mother, grandmother and wife throughout her life. She loved animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts and ghost stories.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Roger, of the home, mother Alma and husband Glen Norris of Brunswick; daughter Nichole Hohenberg and husband Danny of Lee's Summit; son Tyler Barnett and wife Debbie of Brunswick; daughter Danielle miller and husband Jeremy of DeWitt; grandchildren Sawyer, Liam, Paxton, Alba, Lincoln; brothers and sisters Vicki Manson, Robin Ker, Jerry Cox, Jamie Ker and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Langsford Funeral Home in Lee's Summit. Rev. Mark Schuchmann of Brunswick officiated. Cremation has been accorded.
