Anne Reynolds, 95, of rural Ottawa died Saturday, August 18, at her home. Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, at the Mueller Funeral home in Ottawa with the Rev. David Kipfer, pastor of the Ottawa Catholic Parishes, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the services. Mrs. Reynolds was born on August 17, 1923 in Ottawa to Chris and Grace (Woodward) Grieves. She married John J. Reynolds on May 9, 1943 in Wayland, MO. She is survived by her two youngest children, Sandy Hicks, of Ottawa, and Dale J. (Julie) Reynolds of Utica, and grandchildren, Cherie (Bill) Reynolds, John (Erica) Hicks, Jennifer Isom, Brian Reynolds, and Mike Ball; great-grandchildren: Lindsay (Joe Meyer) Reynolds, Ethan, Austin, and Jesse Hicks, Brooke Coleman, Sgt. Jacob Isom, U.S.M.C., Nicholas and Nathan Reynolds, Liam Behrens, and her youngest brother John Grieves. She was preceded in death by her husband on September 27, 1992, just before their 50th wedding anniversary, her son, Wayne, son-in-law Wayne Hicks, and siblings, Sonny and Edward Grieves, Gerri Lucas and Lucille Knott.. Her greatest joy was her grandkids, especially her great-grandchildren. She often commented on how lucky she had been to see 4 generations grow before her eyes. She loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed gambling especially trips to “the boat” with family, scratch off tickets, and bingo. She liked to watch reality TV and hanging out with her best buddy, “Mama” her cat. She was a proud homemaker who loved to cook and entertain family, especially at holidays although she did enjoy passing the torch of holiday celebrations down to her great-granddaughter, Lindsay, in recent years. Throughout her life, she and John travelled many miles by car, mainly to Florida. They enjoyed fishing and family time on vacations for many years. She loved to dance and she enjoyed life to the fullest. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Hicks, Bill Reynolds, and Brian Reynolds, and great-grandsons, Ethan and Austin Hicks, and Joe Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Jesse Hicks, Sgt. Jacob Isom, Liam Behrens, and Nicholas and Nathan Reynolds. Memorials may be directed to the family.
