After a long, hard fought battle with cancer, Carolyn R. Gonsalves, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by family. She was born on December 12, 1942 in Richmond, IN where she was a lifelong resident. She spent the majority of her working career as a custodian for a variety of businesses and families, whom she loved dearly. She also spent a lot of her working life as a department manager for Elder-Beerman, which she shared memories from regularly. She was a lover of “I Love Lucy”, taking care of others, and crafting. One of her favorite pastimes was watching and supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their multitude of sporting events.
Carolyn is survived by; husband, Manuel “Speedy” Gonsalves, son, Joseph Feaster, daughters Joann Plummer, and Deana Krupa-Prosser, grandchildren Nicole Feaster, Dustin Feaster (Alyssa), Travis Dale (Chelsi), Jason Feaster (Brookell), Tabitha Crisp (Joseph), Kyle Plummer (Natasha), and Jerrica Krupa (Joseph), brother Michael Lacy (Mary), sister Dorothy Gibbs, great-grandchildren Hannah, Taylor, Landen, Sabrina, KJ, Jerzi, Aubrey, Remington, Tanner, Matthew, Case, Madison, and Jovie, who is on the way, in addition to special neighbors, friends, and extended family. She is preceded in death by; parents Walter Lacy and Edna Chaney Lacy, son Duane Feaster, brothers Gene Chaney, Joseph Lacy, John Lacy, and Calvin Lacy, and sisters Victoria Griffith, and Lynn Hesson.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday August 20, 2018 at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery. Deacon Frank Roberts will officiate
