Helen L. May, age 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 27, 2018. She was born November 28, 1940 in Lehigh, Iowa to Chancy and Rose Nora (Debbelt) Dutcher. Helen married Thomas in Dayton, Iowa on June 3, 1958 and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage.
Helen was a woman who enjoyed a variety of interests. She liked to garden, play cards, and go bowling. Helen was an excellent square dancer. She took great pride in being a wife and mother. She was a devout Catholic and was an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church for 25 years.
Helen is survived by her husband, Thomas, of the home; one son, Ted (Kim) May of Mountain Home; three grandchildren: Joseph May, Michael (Courtney) Gilbert, both of Mountain Home, and Brandon Gilbert of Fayetteville; one great grandchild, Jaden Gilbert, of Mountain Home, and one sister, Betty (Roy) Moubray, of Mountain Home. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Norbert Rappold, Celebrant. Interment will be in Lehigh, Iowa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House or St. Jude's Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
