DIED.
LOMBARD.- At his residence, near this village, Monday, Dec. 1st, at 7 o'clock in the morning. Alpheas Lombard, aged 50 years.

Again we are called on to chronicle the demise of another old citizen who for the past 30 years has lived in this community. Mr. Lombard was born in Otisfield, Maine, June 11th 1825 and raised there until the spring of 1855 when he moved to Minnesota and settled on the farm which was his home at the time of his death. His death was very sudden and unexpected as he was only sick a day or two. The disease that caused his death was kidney trouble of some kind. He was buried in the Chatfield cemetery Wednesday, the funeral being from the house and conducted by Rev. John Moore, the remains being followed by a large concourse of friends to their last resting place. Mr. Lombard was a good citizen and highly respected by the entire community. He leaves three children besides numerous other relatives, his wife having gone before him a little more than a year ago. - (Chatfield Democrat.)
