Born July 21, 1971, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of Evelyn Smith Humes of Hustonville and Larry Watts of Scotts Depot, W.V.
She was employed by Kentucky Orthopedic Surgeons, Lexington, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a 1989 graduate of Lincoln County High School.
Additional survivors include her husband, Sammy Bishop; a stepson, Willie Bishop of Stanford; a stepdaughter, Samantha Bishop of Stanford; stepmother, Mary Watts of Scotts Depot; stepfather, Carrol Gene Watts of Hustonville; two brothers, Dean Humes of Gissen, Germany, and Michael Humes of Hustonville; a sister, Kloma Marie Watts of Ashland; maternal grandfather, Cecil Smith of Hustonville; and paternal grandparents, John and Kloma Watts of Durham, N.C.
Pallbearers are Jeff Elmore, Mike Smith, Jimmy Watts, Gary Burchfield, Mike Cooper and Mike Maples.
