Services for Melissa G. Humes Bishop, 26, of McCormack Church Road, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church by the Revs. Dan Gutenson and Burl Coffman. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

She died Monday of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born July 21, 1971, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of Evelyn Smith Humes of Hustonville and Larry Watts of Scotts Depot, W.V.

She was employed by Kentucky Orthopedic Surgeons, Lexington, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a 1989 graduate of Lincoln County High School.

Additional survivors include her husband, Sammy Bishop; a stepson, Willie Bishop of Stanford; a stepdaughter, Samantha Bishop of Stanford; stepmother, Mary Watts of Scotts Depot; stepfather, Carrol Gene Watts of Hustonville; two brothers, Dean Humes of Gissen, Germany, and Michael Humes of Hustonville; a sister, Kloma Marie Watts of Ashland; maternal grandfather, Cecil Smith of Hustonville; and paternal grandparents, John and Kloma Watts of Durham, N.C.

Pallbearers are Jeff Elmore, Mike Smith, Jimmy Watts, Gary Burchfield, Mike Cooper and Mike Maples.
