Robbie was born in Conway, son of the late Robert Marion Ford, Jr., and the late Melda Privette Ford. He was also predeceased by his cousin, Brad Hayes of Florence. Robbie was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church on Privetts Road in Conway. He was a graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College and was attending Clemson University where he was studying Architecture. He was the caretaker of his grandmothers, Clarice Ford, and Patricia Privette, and his mother Melda Privette Ford.
Survivors include his sister, Samantha Ford Rabon and her husband Samuel of Aynor; a niece, Gracie Danielle Ford; two nephews, River Christian Ford, and Hunter Braxton Ford; two uncles, Mark Privette and his wife Lucy of Tampa, FL, and Alan Privette and his wife Tammy of Florence; two aunts, Anita Ford Hayes and her husband Jerry of Florence, and Rita Ford Bryant and her husband Jimmy of Galivants Ferry; five cousins, Jesse Privette of Florence, Robin Hayes (Tricia) of Florence, Julie Filyaw (Blake) of Aynor, Jesalyn Hardee (Ashley) of Conway and Jada Griffith (Heath) of Cottageville; and ten second cousins, Jenna and Taylor Hayes, Colton and Olivia Claire Filyaw, Carter and Carson Hardee, Lawson, Charlton, Jerred, and Caden Griffith; aunts and uncle, Hilda McDowell of Loris, Dorothy "Dot" Dorman of Conway; and Eddison Dorman (Jackie) of Conway.
Visitation was held Friday, August 24, 2018, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. John Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
