Janet Funk, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 407 20th Street NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; from 1:00 P.M. to 4 P.M.

Janet was born on May 29, 1939; the daughter of Glen and Florence (Brundrette) Thomason.

Janet married the love of her life Linn Funk on December 27, 1957; to this union three children were born.

Janet loved being surrounded by her family watching them grow and learn throughout the years. In her free time, she would spend time outdoors fishing or gardening. She also enjoyed antique shopping and auctions with Linn.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Erin.

Left to cherish Janet’s memories is her husband of 60 years Linn Funk, son Ervin Funk and daughter Raye Ann Napper, 4 grandchildren: Ian (Jessica) Funk, Michael (Stevie) Napper, Ryan and Cody Napper, 2 great grandchildren: Isabella Funk and Benjamin Napper. Also surviving are 4 sisters and 3 brothers and her fur baby Schnauzer Higgins.

Per family’s wishes they have requested that no flowers or memorial donations be made.

Iowa cremation is in charge of arrangements.
