Mr. Blanchard was a son of Orange and Elizabeth Shuler Blanchard. He was born near Peru and spent most of his life in that area. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Barney Church of Christ.
Mr. Blanchard never married. Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Harmon Blanchard of Murray, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eva Blanchard of Murray and Mrs. Lydia Blanchard of Shannon City.
