Daniel Edward Willis
Okeechobee - Daniel Willis left this world unexpectedly on August 6, 2018. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, grandson, friend, and husband. He was passionate about his State of Florida Park Service life and his extended family and friends. He worked for the Park Service for 13 years, most recently as Park Manager at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and the Okeechobee Battlefield Historic State Park in Okeechobee where he also lived with his children. He was enthusiastic about his music, fire management and safety, and especially his children.

He is survived by his three loving children Riley, Ragen, and Rorie; the love of his life, Erin, all of Okeechobee; devoted parents, Robert and Terri Willis, of Apopka, Florida; loving sisters, Sara Fackler (Teddy), of Orlando, Florida, and Karen Willis, of Titusville, Florida; devoted grandparents, Howard and Barbara Humburg, of St. Johns, Florida; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Daniel’s love of life, smiling face, and generous personality will be remembered by family and friends at a Catholic service on August 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida followed by a "Celebration of His Life" gathering at Wekiva Springs State Park youth camp in Apopka, Florida.
