Memorial services for former Genoa resident Harold Wayne Burgman, 63, who died Tuesday in Strasburg, Va., will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Genoa United Church.
After the services, the family will receive friends at East Genoa Community Church.
A native of Alton, Kan., Mr. Burgman resided most of his life in Genoa before moving to Strasburg in 1985. He retired from Smith-Corona-Marchant Corp.
Mr. Burgman was a member of the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department. He served with the Army in World War II and was a member of Moravia Post 7127, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Lydia; a daughter, Dianne Ammerman of Locke; three sons, David W. Burgman of Moravia, George L. Reeves of Arlington, Va., and Frederick Wolfersheim of Huttonsville, W.Va.; his mother, Helen Huntoon Burgman of East Genoa; two sisters, Wanda Christopher of Florence, Ariz., and Barbara Hoag of Genoa; two brothers, John and Orville, both of Locke; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
