Burson Bell was my grandfather-in-law. He grew up in the house pictured here (the Bell-Westbrook house), which was built by his ancestors in 1687. The house still stands and is now part of the National Park Service and is on the list of historic homes in the nation. My husband also grew up in the house which, at the time, had no running water, air-conditioning or heating system. Grandpa Bell is buried in the Montague Dutch Reformed Churchyard (formerly the Minisink Dutch Reformed Churchyard).
