Donna Ann (Bennie) McCoy was born on March 20, 1933 in Canton, Illinois, the daughter of Lester James "Peachie" Bennie (1908–1989) and Margaret E (Meacham) Bennie (1910–1999).
She was married about 1952 to Herbert C "Herb" McCoy Sr (1929–2020), and he was the son of William Raymond McCoy (1883–1952) and his wife Claire Cecilia (Hoefling) McCoy (1886–1964).
Donna was a member of Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Crossroads Cowboy Church in Bon Aqua. She loved her family, enjoyed studying the Bible and going to the beach.
She was 85 years old when she passed away on August 15, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Centerville, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Margaret "Peggy" McCoy and by brothers James "Jim" Bennie (1931–1998), Robert Ray "Bob" Bennie Sr (1935–2015) and Leslie John "Jack" Bennie (1939–2014), Donna was survived by her husband, a son, two daughters and a son-in-law, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a 2nd-great-grandson.
Funeral Services were held at Christ Church, and Graveside Services were in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Pegram.
