Glenda Mae Vance Edwards, 66, of Athens, died Saturday morning, August 18, 2018 at her home.

She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Anna Mae Lingerfelt Vance. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Burns, and a step-daughter Kimberly Michelle Edwards.

She was a longtime member of Eastanallee Baptist Church. She was associated with Textron and Plastic Industries as an Accountant for over 30 years. She was a lover of animals and cherished her constant companions Lucy and Brownie.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Patrick "Pat" Womac Edwards of Riceville; a son, Nicholas Ryan Vincent of McMinn County and a step-son, Keith Edwards of Riceville; a sister, Evelyn Vance Harvey and her husband Bill of Knoxville, and a brother, Daniel Robert Vance and his wife Vickie of Sweetwater; two step-grandchildren, Haylee Morrow and Jeremy Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted, 7:00 pm, Monday, August 20, 2018 in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Dan Early officiating. The committal service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Eastanallee Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Eastanallee Baptist Church Building Fund, 482 CO. Rd. 725, Riceville, TN 37370; or The Arthritis Foundation, 6504 Deane Hill Drive C, Knoxville, TN 37919.
