Carolyn was born in Sacramento to Earl Thomas Berry and Edra Irene Berry (Billingsly). Carolyn was a devoted wife to her husband Laymon (Ray) Loftis and her children Lori, Carla, Lisa and Perry.

She loved her family, reading, yard sales, genealogy, walking, her flower garden, and keeping an eye out for the Persied meteor showers while camping on the coast. Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Laymon (Ray), daughter Carla Loftis-Widener, son Perry, mother Irene Billingsly-Berry, father Tommie Berry, sister Patsy Berry-Wolfe-Call, and brother Stanley Berry.

She is survived by her daughters Lori Loftis and Lisa Loftis-George (Rick), grandsons Bryan Widener (Dannah), Matthew Widener (Tara), and Cody George (Shannon), sister Earlene Berry-Bailey (John), nieces Cherise Bailey-Vlamis, Marla Wolfe-Dyste (Donny), Melanie Wolfe-Jacobson (Daryll), nephew Michael Bailey, aunts Dacie Berry-Welch and Minnie Berry-Garcia, uncle Don Berry, and cousins Mike Berry (Karen), and Glen Berry (Nita). Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the staff of Kaiser Hospice, especially Joey Mirano, R.N. and most recently Kelly Belli, R.N. for their assistance and support for mom and her family. We also want to thank all the staff of Comfort Keepers for their services, most importantly Barbara Jelenic. Barbara provided in-home care for our mother since December 2015 and became a member of our family.
