He was kind to everyone he met and always willing to help those around him. He was a generous person that put others needs before his own. As big and mighty of a man as he was, his compassion and kindness were even greater. He was constantly encouraging other people and quick with a greeting. Where ever he went he had friends, assisting the underdog and championing their success. Corey loved to tell stories and jokes to those he was closest with. Corey loved his family. Though separated by cities for most of his life he would be there in an instant in times of need.
Corey had a great love for his wife Christi, his dog Bitzy whom he treated like a child, his brother who only he was allowed to pick on, and a special bond with his cousin Stephen Hance who mentored him from a young age. He cherished his great friendship with Mike Gustafson who was always there for the ups and downs of life. Corey had a great love and concern that he always carried for his parents. He felt blessed by them and wanting nothing more than to help take care of them.
Corey didnβt always have the easiest life. Sometimes he had big obstacles to overcome but he always found the strength to fight through and work to get better. He was an inspiration to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Milton and Avis Davis and his maternal grandparents, Glen and Della Mae Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Christi Davis; parents, Larry and LaVeta Davis of Yukon; brother, Colby Davis and wife Ashlea Davis of Tulsa; nephews, Conner Davis and Isaac Davis; niece, Emilea Davis as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
