JESSICA MAXINE JEFFERS was born to Ernestine Estella Frazier and Willie Melvin Thomas on May 18, 1940 in Honey Grove Texas, where she attended school until the 8th grade. She moved to Dallas Texas in 1963 and was married to S. D. Jeffers, became a homemaker and work as a seamstress by trade. Although Mrs. Jeffers cared for most of her grandchildren at one time or the other, she took legal guardianship of her granddaughters Demetria E. Thomas while her Eldest son served in the United States Army, from Kindergarten 6 Grade.  She was a very proud grandmother, always willing to make sacrifices for her children and grandchildren. In the following years Jessica worked as a Security Guard at The Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Jeffers took pride in keeping watch over the antique cars and visiting the car show. She shared a great love for family history and always encouraged family to learn more about our past. Not happy with an 8th grade education she pursued and received her GED twice and then proceeded to attend El Centro Jr. College to furthered her education at Paul Quinn College.
