Imogene Reed Smith, age 88, of Hodgenville, passed away, Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.



She was baptised at age 12 and joined Buffalo Baptist Church. Imogene and her husband spent many years in Illinois where she was a bookkeeper for Walgreens for more than 30 years.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville C. Smith; her parents, Harlan E. and Chrissie Underwood Reed and a brother, Clifford Reed.



Imogene is survived by two sisters, Bonnie Reed (John) Hibbs of Versailles and Sue Ann Reed McIntyre of Vine Grove; nieces and nephews, John Mark Reed, Beth McIntyre Turpin, Bradley Owen Hibbs and Amy McIntyre LeVan; many treasured great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, August 20, 2018, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Rev. Chris Heading and Rev. Sara Turpin officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
