Debra Adams Walker, age 59 of Penhook, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her residence.
Born March 19, 1959 in Danville, she was a daughter of Lucille Crews Adams of Penhook and the late Carlton Edward “Buddy” Adams. She was also predeceased by one daughter, Tonya Walker; two brothers, Gary Adams and Donnie Jones; and one sister, Earlene Bartee. Debra was a home maker. She enjoyed her life with Ricky, boat riding and four-wheeling. She was a loving mother of three and an even more loving grandmother of ten. Debra never met a stranger and would give the shirt off of her back to anyone that needed it.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her significant other of 43 years, Ricky Matherly; two daughters, Nicole Walker and Penny Walker; three brothers, Wayne Adams and friend, Bonnie, Bill Adams and William Jones and wife, Rhonda; three sisters, Gayle Pyrtle and husband, Dennis, Rachel Hudson and husband, Mike, and Nancy Elkins and husband, Fred; ten grandchildren, Daniel Hutson, Alley DeShazo, Devin Brandon, Desmond Brandon, Nicholas Cooper, Deontae Brandon, Deshon Brandon, Demitri Brandon, Desiree Brandon and Desianna Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Gray Hutson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the Shelton Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
