West Lebanon, NH—Christine "Bunny" Jenkins, 95, a lifelong area resident, passed away Tuesday September 24, 2019 at Lebanon Center Genesis Healthcare with her family by her side. She was born to the late Perley and Myrle (Mattoon) Woodward on July 29, 1924. Christine graduated from Hanover High School, class of 1941. She was married to E. Marten Jenkins on May 10, 1942. E. Marten was drafted by the US Army, following his honorable discharge they settled in West Lebanon and began their family. Christine was passionate about her family and enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for them.
She is survived by her two daughters Eileen Fiori and husband Rick Murray and Sherry License and husband Richard, all of Enfield, NH, three granddaughters, Jennifer Fiori-O’Connell and her husband Michael of Perry Hall, MD, Jodi License of Lebanon, NH and Ashley Shattuck and her husband Matt of West Canaan, NH. She also leaves behind three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Christine is predeceased by her husband following 69 years of marriage, daughter Margaret Jenkins of Manchester, NH and three sisters and one brother.
Christine requested to be cremated and buried alongside her husband in the West Lebanon Cemetery. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Family and friends are invited to her graveside service at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 11, 2019 at West Lebanon Cemetery.
