Jack spent his career working in communications as a manager with the former Bell Atlantic Communications for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, trap shooting, and spending time at the Jersey Shore. Most important to him was always spending time with his grandchildren. Jack was also an avid Poker player. He is a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. A 27-year member of the Free & Accepted Masons, in 2000 Jack served as Past Master of Bristol Lodge 25.
Beloved husband of the late Linda Johnson, Jack was the loving father of William H. “Billy”, John A. “Jack” III (Nancy), and Marc J. (JoAnn). He was the devoted grandfather of Tyler, Colin, Morgan, Mia, and Ty, and dear brother of Eleanor Haworth and Virginia Simmons. Jack is also survived by his lifelong friend, Richard D. Peake, and numerous extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
