Pauline Hope Bailey, 100, of Burleson, entered her Heavenly Home on August 5, 2016. She was born in Alvarado, Texas on May 28, 1916 to William and Gladys Sittal Hassell. Pauline was a longtime resident of Itasca, and this is where she married the love of her life, Rufus Bailey, in 1936. They were married in front of a furniture store and received new furniture as a gift. Rufus and Pauline were later blessed with the gift of a sweet baby girl. Pauline worked as a Nurses Aid, always caring and giving. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Caroline Landrum; 3 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 8, at the First Assembly of God Church in Joshua. Rev. Wilbur L Stanley will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-5 P.M. on Sunday at the Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado. The family will have a private burial at a later time.
