Daughter of Marvin Wayne Perisho and Sharon Kay Harper Perisho. Step-daughter of Mary Jane Hite Perisho. Tonja was abducted from the home of her great aunt and uncle by Joseph William Kunz. He drove her to rural Evansville, Indiana in the car he had borrowed from her mother. He stabbed her to death, wrapped her body in a blanket, put her in the trunk of the car, and called the police. Kunz was Sentenced to Life In Prison in November of 1967 in Princeton (Gibson County), Indiana. At this time, he is still in prison.
