Shirley Marie Nicholson, 74, passed away at her home in Wagoner, Oklahoma on 15 August 2018. Shirley was born on 16 March 1944 in Chandler, Oklahoma to William & Lucille (Bowden) Turney. She graduated from Muskogee high School in 1962. She married on 6 April 1963 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Shirley was always happy. She cherished life, spending her spare time playing Hand and Foot and different puzzles on her iPad. Shirley never had a bad day. She was a member of the Tulsa Classic Thunderbirds Club, the Model A Car Club of Tulsa and the Cruising Angels of Muskogee.
Shirley is survived by her husband: Johnny Nicholson of the home, one son, William Gene "Bill" Nicholson and Connie Smither of Owasso, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law Barbara Sester & David of Keller, Texas; two brothers-in-law: Wayne Nicholson & Linda of Wagoner, Ok and Jerry Nicholson & Phyllis of Idabel, Oklahoma; Three uncles: Lee Turney & Janice of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Henry Turney & Linda of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Donald Frank Turney & Carolyn of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, numerous, cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday August 19, 2018 from 1pm-8pm. Family will greet friends from 4pm-6pm. Services for Shirley will be held at 2:30pm Monday 20, 2018 at Lescher-Millsap Chapel in Muskogee, Oklahoma with??? officiating. Pallbearers are David Sester, Wayne, Jerry, Lance & Tim Nicholson.
Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery(where her parents are buried at) in Muskogee, OK.
