Edith Gail Green was a devoted wife and mother who spent her entire life serving caring and overseeing the needs of her family. She was full from within in possessing the fruits of the spirit; joy, kindness, love, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. She was one who never met a stranger and with her infectious smile would leave a lasting impression of genuine love, showing compassion to all who came in contact with her. Over the course if her life, she consistently contributed much in areas of community service, preformed volunteer work at Dalton Hamilton Hospital, an advocate in support of children with cancer, spent many decades; 50 years, being called in choir using her godly gift in music at First Baptist Church of Dalton, Ga. Her dedication in song and sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glories of his name are some of her many lifelong achievements. One monument achieved was in song and praise participating in The Sanctuary Choir as a selected member of First Baptist Adult Choir in the 22nd International Church Music Festival in Bern Switzerland. During this special festival time there was a night of hymns orchestrated around a theme of “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing”. Choirs from all around the world were united as one in song which Gail performed in voice and heart along with her fellow choir members of First Baptist Church.
Gail will be greatly missed by all her family as well as friends, community, and her church family of First Baptist. She will leave behind many cherished memories as well as her constant steadfast faith living and abiding in God’s word always.
