Revolutionary War service record is recorded in "Tenn. Revolutionary Soldiers" for 12 months serviced 12 June, 1782 to 15 Aug. 1783. Married 1st Cleo Coats, 2nd Isabella Jean/Jane McMahon of Scotland. With his parents, Lewis and Elizabeth Morgan removed to Washington Co., N.C. and later, Tenn. Adonijah and family moved on. Many of his sons settled on the Ohio River. Adonijah and wife and 1 son and 1 daughter came to Fayette Co., Ind. P. 159 Barrows History Fayette Co. lists him 11 children; Gabriel Morgan, b. N.C. 1782 ( by 1st wife ) Other 10 children are by his 2nd wife; Amazia, b. Greene Co. TN, 25 Dec. 1786; Lewis b. 13 Nov 1788 Greene Co. Tenn. d. Jackson Co., Iowa; Ibby, b. 1790 TN; John Blair Morgan, b. 1791, Tenn., d. Ross Co. OH, m. Marie Louisa McDonald; Dorcas, b. KY; Ruth B. Morgan, b. KY.; Margaret Morgan, b. KY 1802, d. 1827; Adonijah Morgan, Jr. b. KY 1804, d. Dade Co. Mp., m. Betsy William and Sarah Morgan, bought land here in 1819. A William Morgan and daughter are also buried in Lick Creek Cemetery; Jane Clo Morgan, b.
