Dale Lamar Hawkins, 62, of Midwest City, died August 15, 2018 in Choctaw at his daughter’s home. He was born April 29, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK, to MC Hawkins and Ann Wariner. Dale was an alumnus of Oklahoma Christian University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. He was a long-time member of Dayspring Church of Christ in Edmond. Following a career in dog food sales at Shawnee Milling Co., he opened his own sign and graphics franchise where he proudly served his community for over 10 years. He was a member of Rotary International and received the Paul Harris Fellow Award on July 19, 2018. He enjoyed spending time with his family while camping in Red River, New Mexico, and loved celebrating Christmas. Dale was preceded in death by his father, MC Hawkins. Dale is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail, of Midwest City; son, Cary Hawkins, of Edmond; daughter, Ashley Lefebvre, of Choctaw; mother, Ann Wariner, of Midwest City; brother, Marvin Hawkins, of Choctaw; sister, Teresa Roberts, of Washington; 2 grandchildren, Sean Lefebvre and Hadley Hawkins. Dale will be remembered by his many friends and family as a man possessing genuine kindness, a delightful sense of humor, and unrelenting positivity.

A funeral service will be held to celebrate Dale’s life at 11 AM, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel. I
