Sheridan, Wyo. -- Allen Dale Hewit, 72, of Sheridan, Wyo., died at 6 p.m. Nov. 3, 1987, at the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan. He was born Jan. 22, 1915, at Parsons to Celib "C.R." and Erma (Dantic) Hewit. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the postal department during the European Invasion. He later worked for Ernest Slane Furniture Store of Parsons and also had worked in the car department of the Katy Railroad. He moved to Wyoming in 1952. Hewit is survived by three sisters, Audrey Hayt of Girard, Mildred Endelman of Nebraska City, Neb., and Dollie Gilleland of Parsons. The service and burial was Monday at Oakwood Cemetery at Parsons with the Rev. Stanley Land officiating.
