Mary Linda Moore Honeycutt went meet the Lord on December 27, 2017, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson ’s disease.

Linda was valdedictorian of her class at Armorel High School in Armorel, Arkansas, after which she moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked in the fingerprinting division of the FBI while it was under the leadership of J. Edgar Hoover. It was there that she met the love of her life, Burl Honeycutt. After their marriage, they moved to Piney Flats, Tennessee, to raise their family.

Mrs. Honeycutt worked for Tri-City Bank from its opening in 1968 until her retirement in 1994. She was a charter member of the Tri-Cities Church of God in Piney Flats, from its opening in a small storefront in Bluff City, through its eventual move to its large home on Highway 11E in Piney Flats. She served terms as both the Praise and Worship Leader and Church Clerk through the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burl Honeycutt; her parents, Frank and Charlene Moore; and two sisters; Debbie Harper and Vivian Ledford.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melanie and husband Barron) Atkins of Bristol, VA, and Angela (and husband Steve) Rasnake of Piney Flats. She is also survived by two beloved granddaughters, Madison and Alexa Rasnake; sister, Joanne Cassidy, of Blytheville AR; along with several nieces, nephews and their children.
