Ivan Howard Johnson
June 14, 1939 - August 15, 2018

Longtime Engadine resident, Ivan H. Johnson, 79, died Wednesday afternoon August 15, 2018 at the Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Ivan was born June 14, 1939 in Engadine, son of the late Howard and Della (Vinette) Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Ivan is preceded in death by his wife Gloria on February 9, 2009; siblings Richard Johnson, James Johnson and Betty Houghton; brother-in-law Louis Vesel.

Survivors include his sister Blanche Vesel of Engadine; sister-in-law Marjean Hancock of Cheboygan; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Naubinway on Monday August 20, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be follow at 11:00 am at the church with Fr. Frank Ricca officiating. Rite of Committal with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #290 and the United States Navy Honor Guard will take place at the Engadine Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Engadine Consolidated Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence, W 13920 Melville St., Engadine, MI 49827 in his memory.
