After graduating from Central High School, Bob joined the US Marine Corps and served on Kodiak Island, Alaska, during the Korean War. He was proud of his service. It was while on Kodiak that he fell in love with nature, fishing and hunting. In 1979, he married Alida H. Wolczek, of Chicago, Ill., who was the love of his life. Always together, they traveled extensively for business and pleasure. Two unforgettable trips were traveling on the Simplon Orient Express and going to Venice, Italy. Both hold very special memories. In addition to traveling with Alida, Bob also visited many exotic destinations on hunting and fishing "Experiences" with friends Ken, Charlie, Mike, John, Bob L. and Vic.
