Davie Gipson, 88, of McLean died Monday, August 13, 2018 in McLean.

Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2018 in the First United Methodist Church in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.

Davie was born August 7, 1930 in Canyon to Thomas Wesley and Vivie Jane Burch. She grew up in McLean and was a 1948 graduate of McLean High School. She married Howard Eugene Gipson on November 19, 1950 in McLean. She had been a curator for the Barb Wire Museum in McLean for 17 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Barb Wire Collectors Association, Senior Citizen Young at Heart, and the McLean United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Thomas Gipson; a brother, Dale Burch; and a sister, Inis Burr.

Survivors include 2 sons, Keith Gipson and wife Jaquie of Trinidad,Colorado and Dale Gipson and wife Shawna of Atoka, Oklahoma; a daughter in law, Debbie Gipson of Midland; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

The family request memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church in McLean.
