George Lee Gary Sr. left his earthly home on August 15, 2018 at the age of 86. George was born in Kinder, LA to Don Louie Gary and Adeline Landry Gary on February 29, 1932. George served our Country honorably in the United States Army. Most of all George loved spending time with all of his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Merile “Jean” Gary of Jennings, LA; his two sons, George “Lee” Gary Jr. of Jennings, LA, Richard (Glenda) Gary of Bunkie, LA; his daughter, Tammy (James) Habetz of Jennings, LA; his two grandchildren, Ashley and Casey Gary; his great grandchild, Lindsey Gary; his brother, James Gary of Lake Charles, LA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Adeline Gary; his two brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial in honor of George’s life will be held at Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church in Jennings, LA on August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Father Charles McMillin officiating. George will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery following his service.
