– of Montrose, age 63, died Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Donald’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Don was born January 14, 1955 in Flint, Michigan to the late Wilford and Gracie (Barlow) DeWitt. He attended Grand Blanc and Montrose Schools. Don was employed with Blazer and Ryder Trucking Companies for many years. He was a talented musician most of his life, and enjoyed Bluegrass music. Don also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and loved all his animals. He was known for being quite the jokester, and had a huge heart of gold. Don was a friend to everyone and knew no enemy. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and granddaughters.

Surviving are: Wife, Jody Bykaylo; Daughters: Kaitlyn Bykaylo (Camaron Doyle), and Cassidy Bykaylo (A.J.); 2 Granddaughters: Gracie Marie, and Olivia Grace-Ann; Sister, Sandy (Mike) Craig; Furry companion, Ziggy.
