Judy Lee Kalfsbeek Powell, 68, passed away at her home surrounded by and cared for by her loving family on July 14, 2018 in Arbuckle, California. She was born on January 10, 1950 to Mildred Descombaz Kalfsbeek Boyd and Elmer “Shock” Kalfsbeek of Arbuckle in Colusa, CA. On July 5, 1968 she married Donald F. Powell, Jr of Spirit Lake, Iowa in Reno, NV. They had a true love and were married for 44 years. They were devoted to one another and their family prior to Don’s sudden passing in 2012. Judy was the owner of Napa Auto Parts in Arbuckle and was a dedicated business owner, boss and friend.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tamara Deanne Powell, Carrie Renee Powell, Jamie Lee Powell Herman; her son-in-law Scott Herman; her grandkids, Ashley Robinson, Kendall Robinson, Kenneth Robinson, Addison Lee Herman, Scarlett Lee Herman and Curtis Mulady; and her great-grandkids, , Antonio Tiago Ambriz, Khloe Fay Guaydacan, Marshawn Donald Robinson.
Judy was a devoted business owner, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on their trips to Fort Bragg and Monterey. Judy will be greatly missed by the Arbuckle community, her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Judy at the Arbuckle Golf Course on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:30AM.
