LAKELAND - Martha Jane Crowder, 88, went to be the Lord on June 6, 2018. She was born on November 1, 1929 in Lakeland, Florida to Clem and Annie Richards and raised in Fort Meade Florida.
Martha was a loving wife (widow) to husband Rudy Crowder and mother to her three boys raised in Lakeland, Florida. Martha was a leader in her community with charity work that she did through her membership of a service club sorority, KDP, which she was a member of for more than thirty years and held multiple national titles. Martha was also a hard working business owner, starting the original Lakeland Auto Auction more than 50 years ago with her husband. Later in life, she started her own family daycare where she shared her love and joy with many families that became part of her life forever.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Rudy Crowder (2004) and her son Ronald Crowder (2016).
She is survived by her children, son Donnie Crowder and his children Rudy, Erin, and Jamie; her son, Jim Crowder (Carey) and his children Cole and Jaelyn; Ronald Crowder (passed away April 28, 2016), his children Gabriella Barnett (Blake) Rhonda and Michael Crowder. Two great-grandchildren Eliana and Skylar.
Martha loved spending time with her children. All three boys played multiple sports and she attended every game and practice.
There will be a graveside service on June 15 at 10:30 a.m. Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland.
The family will hold a celebration of Martha following the service.
