Born: Jun 20, 1943
Date of Passing: Jan 02, 2009
Ken, passed away, comfortably, at Health Sciences Centre.
He never harmed a person and respected and loved all people. Ken lived a simple and difficult life, but heroic, in the sense of a positive, cheerful and caring approach to life and people. The anticipation of retiring at age 65 and planning an eventful future was abruptly and rapidly interrupted by a health consuming malignancy.
Ken was predeceased by his father Joseph; brother Edward and sister Joan Harrison.
His immediate surviving family is mother Mary; brother Stanley (Vera); additional family include
nieces, nephews and many cousins.
His heart and spirit are left at Winnipeg Harvest with the staff and dedicated volunteers who helped him over the years to supply sustenance to the needy and unfortunate.
Thanks is acknowledged to the ward GA4 caring staff, a considerate social worker Vanessa Prophet, and an outstanding compassionate Dr. Casper.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 8 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Winnipeg Harvest, 1095 Winnipeg Avenue.
Memorial donations would be a blessing to Winnipeg Harvest (204-982-3679), at 1085 Winnipeg Avenue.
