Michelle D. Norman, 51, born and raised in Morganfield Kentucky. Met and started dating Jeff Norman in Paoli, Indiana 1984. They soon began their college years together at the University of Southern Indiana, Evansville, enrolled as business majors, often taking classes together, and graduating together in 1988.

Married Jan 11, 1986 in Morganfield, Kentucky at the United Methodist Church and resided in Evansville, Indiana until a job transfer took them to Indianapolis in 1990.

On March 3, 1991, their first beautiful daughter McKenzie arrived, and Madison soon followed with her gorgeous smile on December 30, 1996.

Michelle’s career in Indianapolis was focused at Walker Information for 20 years as a project administrator and then Vice President measuring business to business satisfaction. Her business travels took her throughout the USA and parts of Europe and Canada.

In 2009 Michelle began work at Concentrics Research as a market research project manager. Her positive attitude and smile were well received, and she cultivated many close friendships.

Church volunteer activities included preteen Sabbath school teacher, cooking classes, and cooking and organizing meals for church activities.

Both daughters were active in softball travel clubs which took the family to many tournaments across the Midwest and to Florida.

Since December 30, 2015, our sweet Michelle has courageously battled her terminal illness and has smiled despite the pain. She loved her life, her family, and her God, and was ready to go to sleep. She talked of how awesome it will be to wake up and see Jesus. She passed away peacefully on May 11, 2016, with her family by her side. We will miss her beyond words until we meet again.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff; daughters, McKenzie and Madison; cherished granddaughter, Rilee; Grandma Bonnie; brothers, Paul Louis Smock and Chanda, Josh Smock and Jenny; mother, Sandy Bresnahan and Mike, and father, Paul Smock and Jennie. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Debbie Holmes and Julie Koobs; brother-in-law Greg Norman; and mother-in-law Joann Teller and Stan.
