Leo V. Bailey, Age 94, of Minerva, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 6, 1924 in Glouster, Ohio to Leo and Clara (Cavey) Bailey. He retired from Teamsters Local #92 after 30 years of service and then worked for Great Trail Golf Course for 30 years. He was a Sgt. in the US Army in World War II serving in Africa and Italy. He was awarded a bronze star with 3 clusters and a purple heart. He was a member of the VFW post #4120 in Minerva. He was an avid golfer until he was 93 years old.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Harper) Bailey who passed away in 1990; sister, Margie Kennedy and a brother, Jack Bailey. He is survived by 2 daughters, Sandy (Niles) Betz of Sebring, Cheryl (Joseph) Wilson of Minerva; 3 sons, David (Sharon Pucci) Bailey of Elizabeth City, NC, Ronald (Gloria) Bailey of Waynesburg, Ricky (Jean) Bailey of McKenney, VA; 11 grandchildren, Deidre, Chad, Todd, Amy, Mike, Rick, Scott, Joe, Brian, Kristi and Josh; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; 5 sisters, Jean Mullen of Brewster, Rose Ayers of East Canton, Patty Collins of FL, Janice (William) Strawn of Boliver, Peggy (William) Clow of Suffield; 3 brothers, Wayne (Jane) Bailey of Canton, Ron (Donna) Bailey of Mt. Vernon, Richard (Sharon) Bailey of Courtland.
