Shirley Harmon

Shirley M. Harmon, 90, of Ottumwa, died at 5:30 a.m. August 14, 2018 at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa.

She was born December 22, 1927 in Ottumwa to Charles and Pearl Weltch Tull. She married John Harmon on December 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2006.

Shirley was a homemaker, and she had worked at King & Adams Grocery store and for John Morrell & Co.

Surviving is her daughter, Toni Frymoyer of Ottumwa; 2 grandchildren, Matt (Brandi) Frymoyer of Canton, MO and Mark Frymoyer of Kellogg; 3 great-grandchildren, Johnathon, Alex and Leah; 3 step-great-grandchildren, David, Austin and Mariah; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Bliss, Tripp and Karlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Lester Mathews and son-in-law, David Frymoyer.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society.
