He died at 1 Sea View Villas, Wear Bay Crescent, Folkestone. A surgeon, he trained at St. Thomas' and The Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh and had a qualification in midwifery. 1900-1902 he was a doctor in a concentration camp for the Boer wives and children in the South African War.
