Billie Gene Sharp, a Christian wife and Mother, traded time on earth for eternity in Heaven, on July 29, 2018. Born October 23, 1936 to the late Arthur Jackson and Lennie Mercer, she was a Christian wife, Mother and grandmother. Billie was a friend to all she met, and her butter pound cakes were a favorite at church functions and area gatherings for decades. Billie believed in sharing her talents with others, whether sewing, gardening, cooking or teaching Sunday School. Billie served as Past Worthy Matron at the Alvarado Eastern Star and was a 50+ year member.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 2, at 1:00 PM. Service will follow at 2:00. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Wesley Sharp at Bethesda Cemetery.

She is survived by her children: Burma Dugger, Lavada Schultz, and Wesley Sharp, Jr., sister: Betty Jane Watson, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren, along with friends too numerous to mention.
