She was born in Lynn, IN on Jan. 17,1931 to Oscar H. and Clara Elizabeth (Rusk) Lammott. She was a 1949 graduate of Richmond High School and married the love of her life Eugene Petty on Jan. 21,1950.
Survived by her husband of 68 years, Eugene "Gene" Petty; children: Stanley Eugene (Shirley) Petty--New Castle, Elizabeth Ann Miller--Mt. Sterling, KY, Teresa Lyn Petty--Ft. Wayne, Robert Allen (Yvonne) Petty--Cumberland, Steven Mark (Tabatha) Petty--Mooresville, David Timothy (Connie) Petty--Anderson, John Edward (Traci) Petty--Muncie; 28 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren.
