Her parents were Afton Wray "Hap" and Loava Marie (Travis) Lumbard. Surviving are her sisters Bettie Holscher and Sara Heitz.
Lois was the valedictorian of her class in 1958 at St. Mary High School in Delaware Ohio. She owned the House of Sewing in Nelsonville for several years and worked at The Tribune in Nelsonville. She also worked as a fraud investigator for the Job and Family Services.
She was a former member of St. Andrew Catholic in Nelsonville where she was the organist and choir director. Currently she was a member of the St. Mary of the Hills Church in Buchtel Ohio.
