Laura Ann Galloway, 63, died on Monday, August 6, 2018, at her home in Clear Lake, Texas.

Laura was born on June 8, 1955 to Jimmie Clyde Galloway, Sr. and Millie Ruth Galloway in Kerrville, Texas.

Laura was employed as an instrument designer for over 20 years. She was very independent and worked hard to achieve the goals she set for herself. Laura enjoyed sports, music, reading, wood work, her pets, and was a big Houston Astros fan. She was a devout Christian whose faith gave her the strength and courage to embrace the good days and put the tough ones behind her. Laura’s family and friends were close to her heart; some may have grown in different directions but the roots were the same.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Millie. She is survived by her sister, Lou Ellen Collins and husband James of Bridge City; brothers, Jan Thomas Galloway and wife Kelly of Nederland and Jimmie Clyde Galloway, Jr. and Norma Jean Burnes of Fred; nieces Tina Hamil of Bridge City, Kira Amy of Orangefield, Sophie Galloway of Hemphill; nephews James Hamil, Jr. of Groves, Joshua Collins of Groves, Jason Galloway of Mauriceville, and Shay Galloway of Hemphill; as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend an expression of gratitude to her best friend Donna Mithani who helped Laura make her many appointments through the years as she addressed the health issues she incurred. Also, a special thank you to Tina Hamil and Norma Jean Burnes for the compassion and care in a great time of need.
