COL THOMAS WALKE I (1642-1694) COLONIAL WAR. He was an immigrant from British-ruled Barbados. He held colonial distinction and was commissioned a colonel by the Governor of Virginia. He made his fortune shipping goods to Barbados from Hampton Roads and slaves back to Hampton Roads from Barbados.
