Note: No burial record has been found for Mary, and she has no extant gravestone, but she is likely buried in this oldest of cemeteries in the area where she lived and died.

Mary was the daughter of John Weld and Margaret Bowen of Roxbury, Mass. She was married in Roxbury 22 March 1681/2 to Joshua Gardner, the son of Thomas Gardner and Lucy Smith of Roxbury. She and Joshua had seven known children, two of whom perished in a house fire in January 1691/2. She was given administration of her husband's estate in 1700, but in 1705 she was called deceased, and the administration was given to other relatives.
